ConnectiCare Inspiring Employees to be Healthy
FARMINGTON, CT (September 28, 2017) – ConnectiCare, one of Connecticut’s leading health plans, held its annual Employee Walk Day yesterday. The event gets employees out for walk at lunch time and includes lots of tips on how to stay active for good health. This year’s Walk Day was dedicated to the memory of Gordon Keller, a natural athlete so quick he was known as The Flash. Gordon was a health conscious triathlete always inspiring those around him, especially his ConnectiCare co-workers, to be active.
“Gordon inspired us to get out and run, ride our bicycles and swim – just for fun,” said Eric Galvin, ConnectiCare’s President and Chief Operating Officer. “Today we are remembering Gordon’s encouragement and his commitment to the sports he loved.”
Employees were asked to complete a statement about what or who inspires them to be healthy and to take “healthy selfies” during the event. Some of the “healthy selfies” can be seen on our Facebook page.
